My Flower Story
I guess you could say that farming and flowers is just in my blood. Both sets of my Grandparents were dairy farmers here in Whatcom County, Washington. My paternal Grandparents were rose farmers, and my maternal Grandmother had an extremely large dahlia garden which is where I came to fall in love with all those gorgeous flowers. As a child I spent many days helping my grandmother tend to her dahlias and along the way I learned a few tips and tricks. I started my own dahlia garden in middle school and kept it going through high school. After attending Washington State University and law school in Oklahoma, my husband and I moved back to Washington, and I began growing dahlias yet again.
Since 2016 I have been growing between 80-100 plants a year. Each year my “little hobby” gains more steam. I’m a full time Mom, Wife, Equestrian and Lawyer by day. Like so many people, I find that flowers help bring me joy and center me in an often-stressing world. I love to share with others the beauty and tranquility these beautiful blooms bring. My hope is that you will enjoy these pretty petals as much as I do.
